I have been a personal trainer since 2017 but I haven't always been healthy. There are always reasons why people are over weight. Sometimes it can medical but other times it's emotional and personal. Here's my story. I have always been a small frame and never weighed over 115 pounds, even after giving birth to 2 children. There was a time when life was throwing me curves balls and encountered major life concerns and became depressed. I was 60 pounds overweight at the age of 25. Because of my small frame, I looked as if I was 8 months pregnant. Although I knew I was overweight, I convinced my self everything was ok until one day reality struck deep. I was picking up my car from my long time mechanic, who asked me, "When is your baby due?" I honestly don't remember what I said but I do remember what I did next. My whole thought process and attitude did a 360. Although, there were other red flags that I chose to ignore, this was the final take. No more excuses and no more denial. I bought the whole collection of Billy Blanks and performed 50-55 minutes of his videos everyday for 6 months and ate food from small plates. I definitely lost the pounds but I also lost muscle. I decided to get a gym membership and start pumping iron. Additionally, I talked to personal trainers and started educating myself on correct form and muscle tone. I realized then weight loss is a lifestyle change physically, mentally, and emotionally. Since 1993, my lifestyle changed forever for the better. This is why I have dedicated myself to paying it forward and helping others live a healthy lifestyle. I am an elite trainer helping to guide individuals on their journey of becoming healthier. What is your final take?
